Repeat election in Berlin: “You can’t complain about it” – Politics

Election day in the capital, once again. This Sunday, some Berliners were able to catch up on the federal election. It’s the somewhat tired ending to a drama that began in 2021.

“It’s Sunday, so you can tie it to your leg,” says Stephan Nimtz and lights a cigarette. The way to the polling station in the Humboldt University building in Berlin was somewhat difficult for him. Nimtz is sitting in a wheelchair, wearing a black bomber jacket and a brown cowboy hat. He says he is a convinced Democrat and that it is important to cast his vote right now. “If I don’t vote, there will be parties that I don’t want.”
