“Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé” in the cinema: artist at the height of her power – culture

A young woman in silver over-the-knee boots falls into the cinema seat, “Is this Beyhive now, or what?” Like many people, she comes too late; outside in Munich the snow is just about to paralyze the city. It’s not bad to have missed the first few minutes, you shouldn’t imagine “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé” as a cinema film in the narrower sense. It’s stadium summer in here. No place for munching on popcorn, at least from the first crescendo of “Dangerously in Love” on Friday evening, when it was released worldwide, it was a party and not a film. So yes, the Beyhive is here.
