Lena Meyer-Landrut is “completely in the bucket”

About two weeks ago, Lena Meyer-Landrut shocked her fans with the news of a serious riding accident. When she fell off her horse, she fractured her sacrum twice. Now she reports again and reveals: The recovery process is tough.

After her double broken sacrum, singer Lena Meyer-Landrut reported to her 5.6 million Instagram followers with a short update. It takes strength to heal a fracture, she explained. She was “completely in the bucket”.

In one story, the winner of the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest posted a short video that apparently shows her lying on a sofa. You can’t hear her, but she coughs and then drops her head in exhaustion. She wrote the words: “Healing a fracture takes strength.”

Nevertheless, the 32-year-old apparently does not just want to lie around idly. “I put on make-up today and recorded a podcast and I’m completely in the bucket. Ciao see you tomorrow,” read more.

Appearances on the tipping point

On August 8, the singer posted an X-ray and explained that she had fallen off her horse. She sustained a double fracture of the sacrum. “I’m trying to recover as best I can now, do it calmly and slowly,” she announced.

It is unclear how their next appointments will continue. Their website still advertises two upcoming concerts this year: on August 26th at “RTL Stars for Free” in Berlin and on September 30th in Erfurt. According to her current statement, it seems unlikely that she can really be on stage again for the shows.

A few days ago, Lena still had a little consolation ready for her fans. For example, she published an acoustic version of the song “Ice Cream Man” by British singer Raye on her Instagram page.

The song is about sexualized violence, which is why Meyer-Landrut put a trigger warning in front of the clip: “It deals with a topic that some listeners could find disturbing.”
