Model, presenter, dancer, actress and, since this year, a mother: Rebecca Mir can look back on an impressive career.
Model, TV presenter, dancer and finally a mother: your career began with a famous talent show. Today Rebecca Mir is one of the most famous TV personalities in Germany. Shortly before Christmas, the native of Aachen has another reason to celebrate: her 30th birthday on December 23rd.
Rebecca-Zarah Mir was born in 1991 in Aachen, North Rhine-Westphalia. There she grew up with two siblings with her mother Mareike. Your father is from Afghanistan. I was already drawn to the catwalk when I was at school. In addition to school, she completed a six-month model training course before applying to the sixth season of Heidi Klum’s (48) casting show “Germany’s next top model” in 2010.
There she made it to the grand finale, where she competed against Amelie Klever and Jana Beller. From episode to episode, I became a spectator favorite and was always a welcome competitor with great potential, even at Klum. In the end, however, it was only enough for me to take second place.
She met her great love on “Let’s Dance”
However, it didn’t take long for Mir to prove that it doesn’t take a “GNTM” victory to make a career on TV in this country. After a few modeling jobs, including at the Berlin and New York Fashion Week, she tried her hand at the popular RTL show “Let’s Dance” in 2012. There she stepped across the dance floor together with professional dancer Massimo Sinató (41) – and delighted both the jury and the audience. But this time too, Mir only made it to second place.
But as the saying goes? Bad luck in the game, luck in love. The dancing couple fell in love and a competition turned into great love. Since then, Mir and Sinató have been considered a dream couple. They also shared their love with the public again and again. The romantic wedding in Sicily followed in 2015. The two parents have been to a young son since April 2021. The two keep their family life and the face of their offspring mostly private. Like him, Sinató is “ready at any time” for a sibling in the RTL double interview betrayed with his wife in August. I, on the other hand, want to “first enjoy” the time.
What came after “GNTM”?
After all, the new mom just recently returned to the TV cameras after taking a break. Since July 2012 she has been part of the permanent moderation team of the ProSieben tabloid magazine “taff”, where she is mostly in the studio with Daniel Aminati (48). In addition, Mir has already reported live from the Los Angeles Academy Awards for ProSieben.
In addition, Mir tried now and then as an actress. She has already played supporting roles in two episodes of the ARD television series “In allerfreund” and in the movie comedy “Our time is now” with Til Schweiger (58). And I did not shy away from challenges such as “Grill den Henssler” or “The great celebrity baking”.
