The BBK brand Realme presented the GT 2 Pro at the MWC 2022 and thus the new cheapest smartphone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 on the German market. Motorola presented the Edge 30 Pro for 800 euros last week, and now the GT 2 Pro follows for 750 euros. The smartphone will temporarily only cost 650 euros.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is the heart of the Realme GT 2 Pro, but the smartphone also offers other advantages of the upper class that, in combination with all these features, have not yet been available in this price range. The smartphone is also equipped with a 6.7-inch OLED display of the latest generation from Samsung. The panel offers 1440p resolution and can regulate the refresh rate between 1 and 120 Hz. In addition, content is displayed with 10-bit color depth and HDR with up to 1,400 cd/m². Support is available for the dynamic HDR10+ standard promoted by Samsung.

Three cameras from ultra wide angle to macro

The back signed by designer Naoto Fukasawa is adorned with fine structuring and three cameras, which are divided into two 50-megapixel wide and ultra-wide angles, with the primary camera being advertised as the Sony IMX766 sensor. With the wide-angle camera, a combination of OIS and EIS ensures the stabilization of photos and videos, the latter can be produced in up to 8K resolution. The PDAF autofocus on the IMX766 works with all pixels across the entire sensor surface. The ultra-wide-angle camera produces images with a 150-degree field of view, which can be output with an extreme fish-eye look if required. The third camera is designed exclusively for macro photos with 40x magnification and produces images with a resolution of just 3 megapixels.

Four years of Android updates

Power is supplied by a 5,000 mAh battery that can be charged with a maximum of 65 watts. Realme relies on Android 12 for the operating system and puts its own Realme UI 3.0 interface over it. The manufacturer is also committed to updates and promises at least three years of Android main versions and four years of Android security updates at the trade fair in Spain.
