After nine years at Real Madrid, Isco is clearly saying goodbye. His next target could be Sevilla FC.

Midfielder Isco could move to another Spanish giants in the summer after nine years at Real Madrid. Like the Spanish newspaper Sports reported that the 29-year-old had already given his consent to FC Sevilla. The Andalusians are Los Blancos’ biggest rivals for the Spanish championship this season.

Isco only plays a supporting role at Blancos, he hasn’t played a single game over 90 minutes this season. His contract expires in the summer and an extension is almost impossible.

Isco: Sevilla coach Lopetegui is a huge admirer

According to the report, coach Julen Lopetegui in particular is a great advocate of Isco’s commitment at Sevilla. Both know each other from their times together with the Spanish national team as well as with Real. However, Lopetegui’s tenure with the Spanish record champions lasted only four months, although he made clear statements about Isco.

“Isco is a great player and I don’t hide my admiration for him,” Lopetegui once said Cadena Ser. Isco switched to Real in 2013 and has played 350 games there so far, scoring 53 goals and preparing 56 more.
