Reading of European writers in Munich – Munich

First intellectually, then enjoy culinary delights: On Friday evening, literature enthusiasts can listen to selected voices from all over Europe who recite their own works in different languages. Afterwards there is the opportunity to talk to the authors over tapas and wine. The Goethe-Institut as well as the French, Czech, Italian and Spanish cultural institutes invite you to this evening, during which readings can be heard in the garden of the Institut français in the Palais Seyssel d’Aix until dusk. Expected authors include Haska Shyyan, winner of the European Union Prize in Ukraine, and Sylvia Fischerová, one of the most well-known voices in contemporary Czech literature. Costs only arise from the culinary entertainment – entry is free.

Europe in the original, open-air reading, Friday, July 7, 4 p.m. to approx. 9.30 p.m., Institut français, Kaulbachstraße 13, www.institutfrancais.de
