In the large jury room of the Berlin district court, the following scene has been repeated for two years: Arafat Abou-Chaker, head of the extended family of the same name, shuffles to the dock in a T-shirt and sweatpants and lounges over to his three brothers, who are also accused. There he sits more or less attentively and follows what the public prosecutor’s office has on him. Or he listens to his former business partner, the musician Bushido, who is something of a regular on the witness stand.
