Hardly is the first winter of crisis over than Germany is arguing about the future of fossil fuel heating. Ramona Pop, head of the Federal Association of Consumers, no longer sees a future for this either – on the contrary: in the long term, oil and gas would become more and more expensive. “You can’t in good conscience advise people to keep using fossil fuels in their homes,” says Pop.
