The anticipation of the new Rammstein album is increasing: the band has set up a telephone hotline that fans can use to listen to the new song “Zick Zack”.

Rammstein fans can hardly wait: “Zeit”, the band’s eighth studio album, will be released on April 29th. And as usual, the group around singer Till Lindemann stirs up the tension in advance – Rammstein are known for drawing a lot of attention to their new releases with sometimes provocative, sometimes enigmatic actions. The band is promoting their latest single with a phone number that fans can use to get information about the song.

On their social media appearances, Rammstein posted pictures of the band members Till Lindemann, Richard Kruspe, Paul Landers, Oliver Riedel, Christoph Schneider and Christian (called “Flake”) Lorenz, which gave the impression that the musicians had cosmetic surgery subjected. Bassist Riedel looks very similar to Harald Glööckler. The posts were in the style of an advertisement for a beauty clinic called “Zick Zack” and also included a Berlin phone number.

Whoever called there was offered three choices. Under the number 1 you should be able to book appointments in the clinic – behind it was the information that the new song “Zick Zack” will be released on April 7th at 6 p.m. Whoever pressed the number 2 – “learn more about ‘Zig Zack'” – was treated to a short instrumental snippet from the single. And behind option 3, the opportunity to speak to customer service, Till Lindemann himself was waiting, singing a short excerpt from the song. In fact, the text is also about cosmetic surgery.

The band’s appearance in the social media posts for “Zick Zack” is reminiscent of the video for the song “Keine Lust” (2005). In it, Rammstein appeared in fat suits as severely overweight men. The band’s fans all over the world are now curious to see whether the clip for the new single will also go in this direction – and what else Rammstein have in store for the album release.

Rammstein go on tour in summer

Rammstein had previously released the title song “Zeit” as the first single from the new album. In the summer, the band finally wants to catch up on their tour, which has already had to be postponed twice due to the corona pandemic. The tour begins in May, and Rammstein will be playing concerts in Germany from May 20th.
