It’s about a celebration on Sunday night in Greding, Central Franconia, after the AfD party conference should have taken place. A larger group was at a Gredingen disco on Saturday evening after the meeting ended. According to BR research, these included AfD members, AfD members of the state parliament and members of Junge Alternative, the AfD’s youth organization.

Witnesses describe the situation to BR24. Accordingly, the participants in the group asked the DJ to play the love song “L’amour toujours” by Gigi D’Agostino. It’s actually a harmless song. However, in right-wing extremist circles, especially on social media, it has developed into a kind of neo-Nazi anthem, to the tune of which xenophobic slogans are chanted.
This is what is said to have happened in the evening. The group is said to have chanted the radical lines “Germany for the Germans. Foreigners out” to the song. BR24 has a video of the situation.
The witnesses say: The group stood in a circle in the discotheque. They wore blue ribbons on their arms and were therefore clearly identifiable as participants in the AfD party conference. The AfD party conference took place at the weekend in Greding, Central Franconia. The almost 800 AfD members present received blue participant wristbands when they were accredited on the first day.
Witnesses: “Without any awareness of injustice”
As the song played, the group jumped together, raised their hands and clapped. Then they would have chanted the xenophobic slogan. “I couldn’t believe it,” says a witness. “I was amazed and horrified,” another said, “that they really showed this in public without any awareness of injustice.”
The local operator is said to have intervened immediately and stopped the singing. The witnesses say that the AfD members left the disco shortly afterwards.
State Security: Witness hearings have begun
The State Security Commissioner of the Schwabach Criminal Investigation Department is now investigating the initial suspicion of incitement to hatred. In an interview with BR24, the responsible spokeswoman at the Middle Franconia Police Headquarters, Janine Mendel, said that the police had started questioning witnesses “in order to be able to find out who was involved in the discotheque that night, who played what role, who sang along or maybe he was just there.”
