Queen Elizabeth (95) has Corona: how could that happen? The theories! – Royals

Who got her into this?

Queen Elizabeth II is 95 years old and, due to her old age, is particularly at risk from coronavirus disease. Yesterday (Sunday, February 20) it became known that the Queen infected with the virus Has. All safety precautions seem to have failed.

The sprightly queen is doing well – she feels “mild, cold-like symptoms” and, as BILD learned, had a good night from Sunday to Monday. Buckingham Palace announced on Sunday that she wanted to do “light tasks” again this week in Windsor.

However, the disease is not to be trifled with. That’s why her personal doctor, Prof. Sir Huw Thomas (63, gastroenterologist, since 2005 in the royal medical team, since 2014 chief physician) and the entire medical team are on the alert. It was also Sir Thomas who had advised the Queen in the past few weeks to hold back and not keep so many appointments.

Even if the queen has been vaccinated three times, she is of course now given special protection and is in quarantine in the 1000-room Windsor Castle. “She will probably be in self-isolation for seven or ten days,” said ex-palace spokesman Dickie Arbiter (81) on Monday at BILD LIVE.

However, the Queen is not completely isolated, as BILD knows from palace circles. The few employees who have been working for her on Windsor for more than a year and who are freshly tested every morning are allowed to see her. All employees are vaccinated.

▶︎ Distance rules must be observed and a mask must be worn. And the doctors are very strict. Means: If the Queen is brought a cup of tea, it will be placed on the table while maintaining a safe distance. The Queen then has to fetch the tea herself…

BILD also learned from palace circles that, contrary to past reports, the Queen is said to be a very good patient who follows the doctor’s instructions – albeit reluctantly – and follows his advice.

“The Queen is pragmatic and stoic. She comes from a generation that has suffered a lot,” said ex-palace spokesman Dickie Arbiter.

Why is the Queen still working?

Arbiter also has an answer to the question of why the Queen is still accepting tasks at all: “She knows that you only stop working when you stop breathing.”

It is the “sense of duty” that drives the queen to work tirelessly. “She will continue to work until she is no longer physically and mentally able to do it,” said the ex-spokesman.

According to reports, the Queen should perform “light duties”. Arbiter: “She’ll continue to work with government papers and you can imagine she’ll have a few Zoom audiences as well.”

Did Charles or Camilla infect the Queen?

Two questions that all Royal fans are asking themselves: Who infected the Queen? And how could that happen?

Recently their son became a prince Charles (73) and his wife Camilla (74) tested positive for the virus. This is Charles’s second infection. The prince has since returned to work – but could he have infected his mother?

Charles visited the Queen two days before his illness was diagnosed. British media say there is a possibility that Charles may have been reckless and failed to get tested before visiting his mother.

Ex-palace spokesman Arbiter relieves the heir to the throne: “It is unlikely that Charles infected her.” And Arbiter is quite sure about Camilla: “She has Camilla from her (the queen, editor’s note) it certainly isn’t.”

Palace employees also have Corona

The Queen’s infection may have come from the staff. According to the latest media reports, a total of five palace employees are said to have contracted Corona. A palace spokesman did not confirm the exact number, but admitted that there was an “eruption”.

“There has been a surge of cases among domestic staff in Windsor,” a source also confirmed.Sun“.

The Queen could also have contracted the domestic staff. However, the security precautions in the palace are extremely high.

The 110 employees, of whom only a small number are allowed to visit the Queen, have to be tested every morning before starting work. The employees then stay in a locked room and have to wait until the result is available.

Could the Queen have been a bit reckless?

As BILD learned exclusively from royal sources, after her third vaccination, the queen may not have taken the risk of infection as seriously as she did at the beginning of the pandemic.

Last week, the Queen received two military officers – personally, without masks and with a handshake. After all, the safety distance should have been maintained. In addition, the visitors were previously tested for Covid and were of course negative, otherwise the audience would have been cancelled.

Could Prince Andrew be behind the infection?

And then there is probably another theory: The Queen’s favorite son, Prince Andrew (62), had just freed himself from the abuse complaint of his alleged victim Virginia Giuffre (38).

Both had settled out of court before a dirty trial could ensue. According to media reports, the royal promised to pay around 14.3 million euros to settle the lawsuit.

Apparently everything was done in collusion with the Queen. Because: Before the agreement with Giuffre, Andrew allegedly drove five miles by car from his Royal Lodge to Windsor Castle every day to speak to the Queen – always under cover of darkness.

But did the disgraced prince always have a negative corona test in his pocket? That is at least questionable.

In any case, it would be the ultimate meltdown if Andrew had not only endangered the good reputation of his family, but also the health of his own mother, the Queen of Great Britain.

In 2021, the Queen spent one night in the hospital

Recently there had always been concerns about the health of the queen. late last year The Queen spent a night in hospital on medical adviceunderwent several examinations and rested for two weeks.

During the pandemic, the Queen had largely shielded herself at Windsor Castle for a long time.

︎ By the way: According to the aristocratic expert Arndt Striegler, things should not be quite as idyllic and romantic for the Queen in her isolation at Windsor Castle. It is said to be very cold in the almost 1000-year-old castle – the Queen regularly sits in front of an electric stove so as not to freeze.

Not the best environment for an ailing 95-year-old monarch.
