Camilla ended Valentine’s Day with a Shakespeare evening in London. There she met acting stars like Judi Dench.

Queen Camilla (76) continues to hold the fort, while King Charles III. (75) is focused on his cancer treatment. On Wednesday evening, the royal wife attended a Shakespeare event at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel, where some well-known actresses and actors were also present. Among other things, Camilla spent the evening with Dame Judi Dench (89), “Harry Potter” star Gary Oldman (65) and “Maleficent” actor Robert Lindsay (74), who performed the play “Hamlet” by William Shakespeare there.

When she arrived at the hotel, Camilla was first greeted by Brian Cox (77), Jeremy Irons (75) and David Mitchell. Two group photos were then taken, which were also shared on Instagram. First with the women present, which included Dench, Joanna Lumley, Floella Benjamin, Twiggy Lawson, Harriet Walter, Penelope Wilton, Maureen Lipman, Virginia McKenna, Sian Phillips, Vanessa Redgrave, Penelope Keith and Patricia Routledge. Camilla sat front and center in her green velvet blouse dress, which she paired with a pair of black ankle boots with a slight heel.

Afterwards it was the men’s turn. Alex Jennings, Freddie Fox, Jeremy Irons, Brian Cox, Tom Courtenay, Peter Egan, Robert Lindsay, Martin Jarvis, Simon Russell Beale, Robert Powell and Samuel West posed alongside Camilla. And there was also a small gesture for Valentine’s Day on Wednesday: Event presenter Gyles Brandreth presented Camilla with two white sweaters with red hearts in the evening, in the hope that they would “keep her and King Charles warm in these cold winter months.”

King Charles returns to Sandringham

Meanwhile, King Charles spent Valentine’s Day traveling back from London to Sandringham. The monarch was only in the capital for around 24 hours to attend to a few appointments. On medical advice, he should not attend public events during treatment. Charles continues to take care of state affairs from his country estate.

On February 5, 2024, the royal family announced that the king was suffering from “a form of cancer.” Exactly what the disease was was not communicated. The cancer was discovered during tests during a hospital stay in London. Charles underwent prostate surgery. But it is not prostate cancer, the royal family made it clear.
