Pullach – sweat yes, eat no – district of Munich

The operation of the Pullach leisure pool is still under the influence of the corona pandemic. A ray of hope for bathers this Tuesday was the reopening of the sauna, even if a maximum of 20 guests are allowed to sweat at the same time due to the distance and hygiene rules. When the “Maximilians” tavern, which belongs to the pool, will open again, however, is still in the stars. The date had been postponed due to Corona, but the catering business should start soon, said Mayor Susanna Tausendfreund (Greens) in the latest municipal council meeting when asked by Jürgen Westenthanner (CSU).

He couldn’t give an exact date, says Andreas Binder from “Binder Eventgastronomie München”, which also operates the kiosk in Unterhaching’s outdoor pool. “We have zero prospects”, if the 2-G rule came, everything would be even more difficult, explains Binder his reluctance. The “Maximilians” is intended as an event business and, due to the lack of sufficient walk-in customers, it should only be open to the public for one or two days, otherwise only for company events. Such events are already taking place, among other things BMW have booked, there is brisk demand. He cannot yet say when the “Maximilians” will open to the general public. “We hire people, then there is a lockdown and we have to say goodbye to them,” explains Binder. But nobody has to starve to death, there is also a bistro kiosk in the bathroom.
