Winter is just around the corner and with it new outdoor fashion trends. The puffy jackets are oversized and much more colorful.

This year we will once again spend cold winter days in warm puffy jackets. This year they come in new cuts and colors. We present the latest models – including styling options.

The bigger, the trendier

When it comes to puffy jacket cuts this winter, the motto is: the bigger, the better. Because oversize and XXL models currently dominate the trends. The key here is to try out and combine different outfits to find the right everyday model. With the right touch, the XXL puffy jacket can be worn with both casual wide-leg jeans and a chic knitted dress. Puff jackets can be found cropped as well as regular and long. The advantage of the oversized cut: You can easily wear thick knitted sweaters underneath when the temperatures are below zero outside.

These colors are popular

When it comes to color, we’re primarily focusing on earthy tones this winter. Brown, olive green, khaki, camel or rust red are currently setting the tone. The advantage: The colors are a nice change from the traditional black and are easy to combine.

Extravagant and colorful

However, if you like it more extravagant, you can also make a fashion statement with the color choice of the puffy jacket. Pink, royal blue, red, lilac or bright yellow are just as popular as the earth tones mentioned above. Singer Justin Bieber (29) is known for his unusual looks and recently sat around on a bright yellow puffy jacket with a smiley face and matching beanie hat.

Wash puffy jacket properly

When it comes to washing the puffy jacket, there are a few points to keep in mind. You should initially try to remove stains by hand. A damp cloth and some soap are often enough. If you want to clean your jacket completely, you can also do this in the washing machine, but: Be sure to use down detergent, use a gentle cycle and only spin minimally. Add a tennis ball to the machine to bring the down back into shape. Ideally, it would be better to have the jacket professionally cleaned.
