Puchheim: Wrong police officers – Fürstenfeldbruck

Once again, fraudsters in Puchheim stole the savings of an elderly resident by telephone. On Tuesday, a perpetrator pretended to be a police officer from Munich in several calls and claimed that the victim had to pay a five-digit sum of money. The intimidated woman therefore drove to her bank and withdrew the sum from her account. A man then went to the elderly woman’s home address, took the money and disappeared.

The Fürstenfeldbruck criminal police have started the investigation and are asking any witnesses to call 08141 6120 with information. The suspect is believed to be around 20 years old. He is about 1.60 meters tall, gaunt, had short, dark hair and spoke high German without an accent. He was wearing a tracksuit consisting of a red long-sleeved top and dark pants.

The police reported a case of telephone fraud in Puchheim on Monday. In this case, the perpetrators posed as bank employees to gain access to an elderly couple’s account. They stole more than 255,000 euros through transfers and the sale of securities.
