After a serious traffic accident on the B2 between Puchheim-Ort and Alling, both drivers were flown by helicopter to a special clinic in Munich on Wednesday. According to the BRK’s deployment report, a small car and a commercial van collided head-on around ten o’clock one kilometer west of Puchheim-Ort. The approximately 40-year-old driver had to be freed from the car by the fire department. She sustained life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the pickup truck was also seriously injured. The district association of the BRK did not provide any information in its press release about the exact course of the accident. Two ambulances and the emergency doctor’s vehicle and volunteers from Eichenau were in action. In addition to the district fire inspection, the volunteer fire brigades in Puchheim-Ort, Germering and Eichenau were involved in the rescue.
The federal highway had to be closed for several hours in both directions for the rescue and subsequent removal of the vehicles.
