PSG resist Bayern and reach the semi-finals of the Champions League

The game: 2-2

Bachmann appeared at the end of the night. Entering the start of extra time, the Swiss pulled her team out of a game dominated by Bayern, which was however diminished. Ramona Bachmann inherited the leather following a corner to qualify PSG for the semi-finals of the Champions League on Wednesday.

The first period had been lively. Completely out of the way, Baltimore rolled up a magnificent center-shot, potentially involuntary, in the opposite corner of an uninspired Janina Leitzig (17th). In the process, the Bavarians recalled that they dominated the game until the Parisian goal. Saki Kumagai pushed into the back of the net a ball repelled by Barbora Votikova (19th).

The Parisiennes seemed revitalized by this double twist. At 5.50m, Grace Geyoro stumbled on the left foot of Leitzig (26th). The Germans also exploited a few breaches but Marie-Antoinette Katoto came within two sizes of cutting the center of Kadidiatou Diani (42nd).

Klara Bühl’s strike, deflected by Lea Schüller, deceived Votikova after returning from the locker room (2-1, 55th). The Parisiennes have long been powerless against the neat ball outings of the Bavarians. Only Katoto forced Leitzig into a nice dive (79th).

PSG did not control much until extra time. Katoto, countered in front of the empty goal by Kumagai (99th), and Ramona Bachmann (103rd) almost equalized. Didier Ollé-Nicolle and his players shivered on German long shots. Before Bachmann reassures the Parc des Princes and makes an appointment with Lyon or Juventus in half.

The fact: the difference came from the bench

If the Parisiennes were tossed about throughout the first 90 minutes of this quarter-final second leg, they regained the upper hand in extra time. The freshness could make the difference where Bayern, diminished by the absence of 11 players, had only 4 elements on the bench. Ramona Bachmann entered in the 93rd in place of Kheira Hamraoui, and directly showed herself to be directly dangerous. The Swiss above all managed a sequence full of lucidity to equalize (112th). And send PSG into the last four.
