How about your own villa in the hills of the Italian Garfagnana, with a private pool, four rustic bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen? Just such a dream property in Tuscany is currently being raffled off by a British couple. The villa with a market value of around 400,000 euros is being offered for a good cause. The couple had already offered a similar property by lottery last year. Interested parties had to buy a ticket for around 30 euros and not only took part in the raffle, but part of the ticket sales were donated to the children’s aid organization “The children’s society” and “Braccio de Ferro”. At that time, almost 70,000 euros were raised for the children’s aid organizations.
Now another villa is in the raffle. Lots can be bought for just under 30 euros. The property is around an hour’s drive north of Lucca. The northern part of Tuscany has so far been little developed for tourism, apart from the big cities only a few nature explorers get lost in the mountains. The raffle is still running, the draw will not take place until the beginning of 2020. According to the initiators, at least 20,000 tickets must be sold for the property to change hands.
