The scam was particularly perfidious, reprehensible and immoral: General Practitioner Klaus H. approached older, childless patients and made them believe they were in dire straits in order to rob the old people. As a “surrogate son”, he brought a Munich couple almost half a million euros. The Munich district court has now sentenced him to three years and three months in prison for fraud in 46 cases and suppression of documents.
