The police had long since arrested their alleged accomplices. But that shouldn’t have stopped Bajram A. and his brother Behar A. from continuing to smuggle drugs from Spain to Munich and doing brilliant business with the sale. It is said to have been no less than 361 kilograms of marijuana and ten kilograms of hashish in total. The brothers did not act alone. The 29-year-old Behar A. is said to have been one of two leaders of a gang that was organized in a strictly hierarchical manner.

In the early evening of November 29, 2021, police investigators managed to arrest four members of the gang in the wholesale market hall. 175 kilograms of marijuana were seized, hidden between fruit and vegetable pallets. Before the coup, Bajram and Behar A., together with other gang members, had founded a fruit and vegetable trade called “Fruit and Vegetable BamBam”. That way, they believed, their accomplices could receive the drugs unnoticed. But the police investigators got wind of the transport. When the pallets were being unloaded, four alleged accomplices were provisionally arrested – and sentenced to long prison terms by the Munich I Regional Court at the end of April.

Bajram A. and his brother Behar A. have been on trial since Thursday. They are said not only to have been involved in the delivery of 175 kilograms of hashish to the wholesale market hall, but also after the arrest of their alleged accomplices, they continued to smuggle marijuana and hashish to Munich with the help of a courier: at the beginning of February last year, it was said to have been 20 kilograms A further 46 kilos of marijuana and 10 kilos of hash then arrived at the end of the same month. According to the investigations of the public prosecutor’s office, the drugs were all sold in Munich. Apparently, business was going well, because a short time later a courier was said to have transported another 100 kilograms of marijuana from Spain via Cologne to Munich on behalf of the brothers. A gram was resold to buyers for 4.30 or 4.40 euros.

At the end of June 2021, the police finally managed to arrest the brothers in Spain. Just a few days earlier, they had given up another package full of drugs. The show was declared as a children’s toy. At the start of the trial, both defendants gave no information. The hearing will continue at the end of September.
