Process in Munich: Attempted murder in the drug environment – Munich

In order to rob a larger amount of cocaine, four suspects are said to have beaten a 17-year-old and shot him in the stomach. Now they have to answer to the juvenile court for attempted murder.

A large quantity of cocaine was allegedly involved and the accused, five young men between the ages of 17 and 24, are said to have been after it. From this Thursday on, they have to answer to the large youth chamber at the Munich I district court. Because in order to get the cocaine that is said to have been in the possession of a 17-year-old, according to the public prosecutor’s office, they even accepted his death.

In the early evening of January 13, 2022, four of the five defendants armed with aluminum bars and a firearm broke into an apartment in Milbertshofen. They had learned from one of their accomplices, a 24-year-old who is also in the dock, that their alleged victim was staying in the apartment. The 24-year-old is said to have been in contact with one of the accused some time before the crime and promised him that he would inform him immediately as soon as he knew where the 17-year-old was.

The 24-year-old kept his word. In the late morning of January 13, he reported to one of the accused. He is said to have said on the phone that he knew that the 17-year-old was in possession of a large quantity of cocaine. According to the indictment, the two young men agreed in the conversation that “this opportunity must be used today”. In the early evening at around 6:30 p.m., four of the accused rang the bell at the apartment in Milbertshofen where the 17-year-old was staying at the time.

Their alleged accomplice, who gave them the tip, opened the door. He had previously made an appointment with the 17-year-old and another man for alleged drug deals in the apartment. Shortly after the 24-year-old had let the four co-defendants in, three of them are said to have hit the 17-year-old so violently with the aluminum bars they had brought with them that the aluminum bars bent. The fourth perpetrator is said to have shot the 17-year-old in the lower abdomen with a firearm. The accused then fled.

They left their alleged victim seriously injured. The 17-year-old only survived the attack thanks to an emergency operation in the Schwabing Clinic. A few days after the crime, the police managed to arrest two of the five youths. One of the two arrested, a 20-year-old, is said to have fired the shot. Prosecutors have charged him and three other suspects with attempted murder. The 24-year-old informant has to answer for being an accessory to dangerous bodily harm. At the start of the hearing, none of the young people made any statements. The process continues.
