Princess Eugenie has been campaigning against plastic in the home for a long time.

Princess Eugenie is committed to protecting the environment. Among other things, she got rid of plastic at home – also for her son August.
At events and interviews as part of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Princess Eugenie (32) also chatted very personally from her home sewing box. As “Mail Online” reports, Prince Andrew’s daughter (62) told, among other things, how much motherhood had changed her. “Now, for example, I’m scared of flying and things like that I never would have been before.”
Eugenie: “We don’t use plastic at home”
But she also looks at the world from another perspective with different eyes. Her concerns about climate change and the areas threatened by it have affected her life. Specifically, she reported on the changes in her own home in order to convey the importance of environmental protection to her son August. “We don’t have plastic in our house, we try to go plastic-free as much as possible and I try to teach him that, but it’s a struggle,” Eugenie said.
In a conversation With a journalist and the founder of Arctic Humanity, Eugenie also said: “My son will be an activist by the age of two, so in a few days.” And she added: “I spoke to Peter Thomson, the UN special envoy for the oceans, and he just told me I’m doing this for my grandchildren.” Any decision made now must be for August, for what he can see and do and how he will live his life,” Eugenie continued.
The granddaughter of the late Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022) also spoke about her hope for the future of the environment, saying: “I like to think of the glass as half full. I prefer it, but sometimes you get the Facts and figures and the discussions at dinner add a sense of frustration and doom.”
Plastic free wedding
Princess Eugenie has not only been avoiding plastic since today. She had already tried to make her wedding to Jack Brooksbank (36) in 2018 as plastic-free as possible. Among other things, the guests were offered water in recyclable aluminum cans.
One year later she explained to Mail Online: “Like many people, I am saddened by the images of wild animals on the beaches, strangled or tangled by plastic and whose lives were ended by our exposure to plastic.”
Son August comes from Eugenie’s marriage to Brooksbank. He celebrates his second birthday on February 9th.
