Princess Alexia turns 17. For her birthday, the palace released a new portrait of the Dutch king’s daughter.
Princess Alexia of the Netherlands celebrates her 17th birthday on June 26th. For her special day, the palace has a new portrait of the daughter of King Willem-Alexander (55) and Queen Máxima (51) published on Instagram.
The photo is from a Family photo session at Noordeinde Castle and shows the 17-year-old in a soft green two-piece suit with a white floral print by Sandro. She beams dreamily into the camera. In just a few hours, more than 300 people have already commented on the picture and congratulated the king’s daughter.
Princess Alexia goes to school in Wales
Princess Alexia is second in line to the Dutch throne, behind her older sister, Crown Princess Catharina-Amalia (18). While Alexia has to carry out her first official tasks, Alexia is still concentrating entirely on her school education. Since summer 2021 she has been attending the English elite boarding school Atlantic College in Wales, which her father had attended. There she will take the International Baccalaureate next school year.
