Jacinda Ardern is no longer Prime Minister of New Zealand. Even Prince William and his wife, Princess Kate, spoke out.
New Zealand has a new Prime Minister. After the surprising resignation of Jacinda Ardern (42), she now spent her last day in office and handed over the business to her successor Chris Hipkins (44). Prince William (40) and Princess Kate (41) also spoke about the assumption of office via Twitter. “We thank Jacinda Ardern for her friendship, guidance and support over the years, not least during the period of our grandmother’s passing.” The British heir to the throne and his wife also sent “best wishes” to their fiancé Clarke Gayford (46) and their daughter Neve (4).
At the ceremony, which was also attended by Governor General Cindy Kiro (65) as the official representative of King Charles III. (74) sworn in the new Prime Minister, New Zealand’s new Prime Minister said: “This is the greatest privilege and responsibility of my life.” He is full of energy and looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead.
