Prince Mateen of Brunei shows off his fiancée for the first time

The son of the Sultan of Brunei is likely to break some hearts with his new Instagram posting.

Here’s how we like it: The year 2024 is about to start with a royal wedding. Because the Sultanate of Brunei announced the wedding of Prince ‘Abdul Mateen (32) and Yang Mulia Dayang Anisha Rosnah binti Adam on October 7, 2023. The celebrations will begin on January 7th, 2024 and will last until January 16th. The most important ceremony, the actual wedding (Akad Nikah), takes place on January 11th. The reception will follow on January 14, when the couple will be led in a procession through the country’s capital, Bandar Seri Begawan. The wedding banquet on January 15th will certainly also be a highlight. By the way, Princess Kate (41) and Prince William (41) are also expected to attend the spectacle.

Prince Mateen of Brunei shows his fiancée

Abdul Mateen is the tenth child and fourth son of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah and his former second wife Mariam. Abdul studied international political science at King’s College London, is a helicopter pilot in the Brunei Air Force and plays polo. It’s no wonder he’s been considered one of the best-looking royal bachelors in the world.

Disappointed royal fans: “This is how 2023 ends with the biggest heartache ever”

Shortly before his wedding, Abdul shows his fiancée on Instagram for the first time. With a picture of a couple he wishes a happy new year 2024. While most people are happy with him about the happiness in love, one user comments: “So 2023 ends with the greatest heartbreak of all.” Apparently many people feel the same way, because the comment now has almost 3,000 likes.

His soon-to-be bride, Anisha Rosnah, is the granddaughter of Pehin Datuk Isa, a special adviser to the Sultan. The couple has been together for several years.
