Prince Harry is currently not speaking to his father or brother. However, he does not rule out a reconciliation.

Prince Harry (38) and his brother Prince William (40) are currently not in contact. The younger of the two confirmed this in a CBS interview with US journalist Anderson Cooper (55). While discussing his memoir “Reserve” (“Spare”), which is officially out on January 10, Cooper asked Harry if he was currently dating his father, King Charles III. (74) and his brother or text them.

Prince Harry replied: “Er, not at the moment. But I’m looking forward to it – I’m looking forward to the fact that we can find peace.” When asked by Cooper how long it had been since the siblings had spoken, Harry replied, “Quite a while.” “Are you talking to your father?” prompted Cooper. “No – we haven’t spoken in a while,” Harry said. “Um, no, not lately.”

Harry and Meghan want to apologize for mistakes

Although Prince Harry also said he couldn’t imagine returning as a full-time working member of the royal family, he also said the rift could be healed – but “the ball is very much in their court”.

“Meghan and I have said time and time again that we will openly apologize for anything we did wrong. But every time we ask that question, nobody tells us the details or anything,” he said. “There has to be a constructive conversation that can take place in private without leaks,” Harry stated.

Cooper replied, “I suppose they would say, ‘How can we trust you? How do we know you’re not going to reveal any conversations we’re having somewhere in an interview?'” It all started when she British tabloids lied about my wife, “to the point where my wife and I had to flee our country,” Harry explained.

But he was also forgiving: “I’m really looking forward to having that family element back. I’m looking forward to having a relationship with my brother. I’m looking forward to having a relationship with my father and other family members.”

Last appearance together at the Queen’s funeral

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan (41) were last reunited with their family in September 2022 at the funeral of their grandmother Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022).

Ahead of the monarch’s death, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex traveled from California to the UK in June to attend some of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee events. However, they had no public contact with Harry’s brother or father. It was later revealed that Harry and Meghan privately introduced their daughter Lilibet Diana, who was born in the United States in June 2021, to both then-Prince Charles and Queen Elizabeth. “It was a fantastic visit. The prince was delighted to see his grandson and to meet his granddaughter for the first time,” a royal source said of Charles’ meeting Lili at the time.
