There has been much speculation that Harry and Meghan want to build some kind of media empire. But did that really work?

After the end of Prince Harry (38) and Duchess Meghan (41) as working senior royals, the couple moved their center of life to the United States. It was then widely reported that the two would like to build up a kind of media empire. In fact, a number of projects have appeared in recent months and years, including an autobiography by Harry (“Spare”), a children’s book by Meghan (“The Bench”), a Netflix docu-series (“Harry & Meghan”) and Meghan’s podcast ( “Archetype”).

However, there were repeated prophecies of doom that the multimedia empire was not running as smoothly as one would apparently like. However, there were no official statements from the couple. However, the two are said to think that they have been “really unlucky” in recent years. According to a Los Angeles insider – Harry and Meghan live in nearby Montecito – to the UK Daily Mail. In the US entertainment stronghold, this opinion is at least haunted.

Netflix sticks to deal

The podcast was initially well received and topped the podcast charts in several countries on the Spotify platform in summer 2022, but work on “Archetypes” has now been discontinued. In mid-June it was announced that there would be no second season – and that the collaboration with Spotify would be completely discontinued.

There were concerns in some places about what could happen to Harry and Meghan’s Netflix deal. However, the streaming service confirmed that projects by Archewell Productions, the Sussexes’ production company, are still planned after the documentary series “Harry & Meghan”. “Harry & Meghan” celebrated the best debut of a documentary on the platform and appreciate the partnership, a spokesman for Netflix told the US magazine “People”. “Heart of Invictus” will be released soon. The multi-part documentary series explores Harry’s Invictus Games, a Paralympic sporting event for war-disabled soldiers. According to “Page Six” he is supposed to also planning a Netflix documentary about Africa.

Compared to other British royals, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are currently not particularly popular. According to a poll by “YouGov” in the UK, Harry had a popularity rating of -36 at the beginning of June, Meghan was even -47. Only the disgraced Prince Andrew (63) fared worse at -78. Harry’s father, King Charles III. (74), brought it to a value of 32. His brother, Prince William (41), was even 57, his wife, Princess Kate (41), 59.
