Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan should be more than uncomfortable at home at the moment. Her mansion stinks of rotting innards.

Prince Harry (37) and Duchess Meghan (40) put around 13 million euros on the table for their luxury villa in Montecito, California. But at that time they probably had no idea that they would have to deal with a bad odor nuisance. As the British newspaper “The Mirror” reported a few days ago, it is supposed to smell pretty bad there thanks to a nearby swampy area. So much so that Harry and Meghan are said to be suffering from headaches from the stench, as now the “Daily Mail” reports.

According to a local resident, the smell is reminiscent of offal rotting in the sun. It turns one’s stomach. Many prominent residents would currently keep their windows closed because of this. Celebrities like Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres or Orlando Bloom with Katy Perry are among Harry and Meghan’s neighbors. The area surrounding the stars’ luxury homes is one of the largest protected areas in Santa Barbara County.

Not the first odor nuisance for Harry and Meghan

A spokesman for the authorities indicated that the stench could last until the fall because the water there is currently not able to drain properly. One is powerless, but the harassment would only occur sporadically. Harry and Meghan have dealt with odor nuisance in the past: last year it was reported that a legal marijuana factory in Santa Barbara led to the nuisance. Huge cannabis greenhouses are in the immediate vicinity of her villa.
