Such loving words are seldom heard from Prince Charles: He was “very proud” of his son Prince William, he announced.
Public expressions of love are not exactly what one is used to from the Royal Family. All the more surprising are the loving words that Prince Charles (72) now shared on Instagram. “I am very proud of my son William,” wrote the British heir to the throne. “For the fact that he is more and more committed to climate protection and for the courageous ambition that he has demonstrated with the Earthshot Prize.”
He also posted a photo showing the father-son duo in outdoor clothing and arm in arm. The two then laugh heartily into the camera. The photo was taken by Duchess Kate (39).

Last weekend, Prince William (39) hosted the Earthshot Prize for the first time, an award ceremony that honors innovative solutions against climate change. The Duke of Cambridge launched the project together with nature filmmaker David Attenborough (95). In his speech at the awards ceremony on Sunday evening, William addressed young people: “For too long we have not done anything to protect the future of our planet for your future. (…) In the next ten years we will act. We will Finding solutions to fix our planet. “
Prince Charles describes himself as an environmentalist and has launched numerous initiatives over the years. Charles is certain: “Together, with everyone who takes part, we have a real chance to create a better future for humanity while restoring harmony between nature, people and the planet.”
