Ghislaine Maxwell has been found guilty on five out of six counts. The verdict is still pending, but the effects on Maxwell’s good friends are already grave. Prince Andrew in particular is likely to have made the guilty verdict nervous. Virginia Roberts Giuffre, one of Jeffrey Epstein’s victims, has charged the Royal with sexual abuse.

Prince Andrew: Witness could incriminate him

On January 4, New York Judge Lewis Kaplan decides whether to dismiss Roberts Giuffre’s lawsuit against the Queen’s second eldest son or whether there will be a headline-grabbing trial this fall. What another woman will say about the events could also be decisive: Johanna Sjoberg. The hairdresser could be one of the keys in the story. At the age of 20, she says she was invited to Jeffrey Epstein’s Manhattan home by Ghislaine Maxwell. There she met the Duke of York, who was close friends with the US entrepreneur at the time.

Sjoberg affirmed in 2016 under oath what she learned in the villa: “I sat on Andrew’s lap. They took the doll’s hands and placed them on Virginia’s chest, and so Andrew put his on mine,” she said at the time. The doll is said to have been a “Spitting Image” doll. “Spitting Image” is a British satirical show in which famous people are teased with latex puppets.
