The Royals are Spanish champions for the 36th time. The media is full of praise for star coach Ancelotti. But he’s on the party brakes. On Wednesday we face Bayern.

Thousands of fans celebrated the 36th championship title in the Spanish capital that night Real Madrid celebrated.

The supporters cheered at the famous Cibeles Fountain – but without the team around the German national players Toni Kroos and Antonio Rüdiger, who deliberately decided not to play in the championship because of the semi-final second leg in the Champions League on Wednesday (9 p.m. / DAZN) against FC Bayern .

“We’re going home calmly and preparing for the next game,” coach Carlo Ancelotti was quoted as saying. The first leg in Munich ended 2-2. Real became champions early on Saturday evening thanks to the defeat of their pursuers FC Barcelona at FC Girona. The Spanish media distributed a video of the Real stars singing at least atmospherically in the evening: “Campeones, olé, olé, olé.”

The sports newspaper “Mundo Deportivo” particularly highlighted Ancelotti’s contribution on Sunday. “The veteran coach has once again proven (if that was necessary) that he is much more than just a locker room manager,” the newspaper wrote. The Italian is always able to adapt to the circumstances, the environment and his players and to lead the team in such a way that they can adapt incredibly well to any opponent.

The Royals’ record in the league is impressive. Madrid have only lost once (at Atlético Madrid) and have lost points in six draws. Next Saturday, after the premier class hit, the game is against FC Granada, which is in danger of relegation. After that, according to Ancelotti, nothing stands in the way of a party – from a Spanish perspective, at best after reaching the final of the Champions League.
