Price of doctor’s consultations, deadly pollution and the Olympico for Marseille

Did you miss the news this early morning? We’ve put together a recap to help you see things more clearly.

The suspense around consultation rates will end this Monday morning. Two months after the failure of their negotiation with Health Insurance, the unions of liberal doctors have indeed an appointment with the senior official designated to “arbitrate” the file. Former social affairs inspector Annick Morel will deliver her verdict at 11 a.m.

At the end of February, the doctors had said no to a general, unconditional increase of 1.50 euros, which would have notably increased the basic price of general practitioners to 26.50 euros. The unions are demanding a minimum of 30 euros.

Air pollution has consequences that are just as alarming as ever. This still causes the premature death of at least 1,200 children and adolescents every year in Europe, according to a report by the European Environment Agency (EEA) published on Monday, even if the trend is improving.

As for adults, this pollution is the main environmental risk to the health of minors and reduces their life expectancy, according to this study covering some thirty countries on the continent, including the 27 EU Member States.

It’s an almost miraculous victory for Marseille. As the draw loomed, OM went to beat Lyon 2-1 on Sunday. It must be said that OL was scuttled in the last moments. At the end of additional time, on a cross from Issa Kaboré without particular danger, the entire Lyon rearguard indeed panicked, from Johann Lepenant to Sinaly Diomandé, who cleared the ball anyhow on Malo Gusto, scorer against his camp (2-1, 90 + 2).

This goal is above all worth gold for OM, which thus takes second place in the Ligue 1 standings from Lens, synonymous with direct qualification for the Champions League.
