Klopp and Liverpool suffer significant setbacks

Liverpool loses 1-0 to Crystal Palace and loses ground in the race for the championship. Klopp’s team misses the best opportunities.
A few days after the disappointing 3-0 defeat in the Europa League against Atalanta Bergamo, Liverpool FC suffered the next serious setback. The trainer’s team Jürgen Klopp lost 0-1 (0-1) against Crystal Palace in the Premier League and thus lost further ground in the race for the English football championship.
Eberechi Eze scored the decisive goal for the guests, trained by former Bundesliga coach Oliver Glasner, in the 14th minute. Since Manchester City had already presented the day before and won 5-1 against Luton Town, Liverpool are now two points behind the leaders.
After a cautious initial phase, Eze surprised the LFC defense, which had no access at all in this sequence. After that, the home team got stronger. However, former Stuttgart player Wataru Endo headed it onto the crossbar (27′), and just two minutes later Luis Diaz also missed from a promising position. After the break, Darwin Núñez was denied by Dean Henderson from close range (55′), and Curtis Jones shot past the goal in front of the Palace goalkeeper (75′).
