Death of six-year-old: Police continue to pursue leads
A little boy was killed in a village near Neubrandenburg. The police are investigating at high speed – and are now hoping for forensic investigations and tips from the public.
Investigations are underway after the violent death of a little boy in Pragsdorf near Neubrandenburg Police continue to operate at full speed. There is still no hot lead on a suspect, said a police spokeswoman for the German Press Agency. “Further leads are being checked.” Residents would also be interviewed.
The six-year-old was found on Thursday evening with serious stab wounds in the bushes by a lake in the village. His parents reported him missing when he didn’t return from playing as usual in the afternoon. They had initially searched themselves without success.
The autopsy revealed that the six-year-old was stabbed – with a previously unknown stabbing tool. The police are investigating manslaughter. Forensic scientists are examining, among other things, the boy’s clothing and a knife that was found in bushes in the village on Friday.
