Porsche 911 Soundbar 2.0 Pro: GT3 exhaust as a sound wonder

Porsche Design puts on a surround system with an original GT3 exhaust. The price is around 9,000 euros.

Addicted to GT3 sound? Porsche Design can remedy this with the new 911 Soundbar 2.0 Pro Ltd. It combines an original Porsche 911 GT3 rear silencer with a 2.1.2 virtual surround sound system.

The overall performance is slightly lower than that of the 911 GT3, but at 300 watts it is still impressive. End devices can be integrated via 4K HDMI connections or via Bluetooth. Dolby Atmos provides brilliant sound. Streaming is possible via Apple Air Play 2 and Google Chromecast via in-room multi-channel streaming technology.

Sound art for 9,000 euros

But even if the soundbar isn’t running, the approximately 1.50 meter long, 46 centimeters high and 50 centimeters deep arrangement of soundbar and GT3 exhaust is an eye-catcher – regardless of whether the soundbar is on the wall or on a base included in the scope of delivery is mounted. However, the sound work of art, weighing around 65 kilograms, is not cheap. For the GT3 sound in the living room, Porsche Design is asking 8,990 euros. But you can be sure that you have to share the pleasure with a maximum of 499 other GT3 fans, because more than 500 copies should not be launched.

Pre-orders are now possible. Deliveries will start on December 20, 2022 – just in time for Christmas.

Conclusion

Porsche Design combines a GT3 exhaust with a surround audio system. Looks good and should sound great. The GT3 listening pleasure for the living room, however, costs almost 9,000 euros.
