Popular primary, hunt for sponsorships and rallying wars… Discover the Recap of January 28

Since Thursday, the 467,000 people registered to vote in the popular Primary have started voting. They have until 5 p.m. Sunday to choose between seven candidates. Who would be the best to represent the left in the presidential election? Will the initiative really succeed in uniting the left? This is the first title of this eighth episode of the presidential “Recap”, the weekly political meeting of 20 minutes.

This week also marked the official starting signal for the collection of sponsorships for aspiring candidates for the presidential election. Thursday was indeed published the decree which calls on the voters to vote on April 10 and 24 for the presidential election. Mayors and other elected officials can send their sponsorships to the Constitutional Council until March 4. It takes 500 to actually be a candidate in the first round.

Finally, last weekend the far-right candidate Eric Zemmour garnered new support, including that of MEP RN Gilbert Collard. A hard blow for Marine Le Pen who loses one of her heavyweight supporters, close to her since she took over the presidency of the National Front in 2011. Eric Zemmour, he has accumulated successes but also trials.
