A great start: The new album by the Red Hot Chili Peppers breaks sales records.

With their new album, the US rockers Red Hot Chili Peppers have managed to top the German charts for the fourth time.

“Unlimited Love” sold in Germany in the week of release more than any other music album this year, as GfK Entertainment announced on Friday. Rock-heavy things continue in the album charts this week: with City («The Last Round») in second place and The Hellacopters («Eyes Of Oblivion») in third place. The German rapper Alligatoah is the only genre exception with “Rotz auf Wasser” in fourth place. The band Placebo (“Never Let Me Go”) is in fifth place.

For the fourth time in a row, “Longing” by Miksu, Macloud & t-low is at the top of the single charts. Behind it, the British singer Harry Styles enters with “As It Was”. Glass Animals came in third with “Heat Waves”. Among others, Kraftklub made it into the front quarter with “One song is enough” (19).
