The wedding break of Christian Lindner and Franca Lehfeldt on Sylt made headlines last summer. Now the journalist has written a book – and chats from the sewing box.
The journalist Franca Lehfeldt (33) was warned by her father at the beginning of her relationship with FDP politician Christian Lindner. He was worried about the possible consequences that the choice of partner could have for her career.
“You have to be aware that it could cause problems for you in your job,” he told her, said the chief reporter on Welt TV last night on the Radio Bremen talk show “3nach9”. She should be very sure in her heart. Because if it’s just a flirt, “then maybe it’s not so bad if you let the flirt pass,” he advised. Lehfeldt and Finance Minister Lindner exchanged vows on Sylt in July.
It was Lehfeldt’s first appearance on a TV talk show. Lehfeldt also interviewed her own father Claus-Holger Lehfeldt for her book “Old Wise Men – Homage to an Endangered Species”, which she wrote together with the journalist Lena Brockhaus. “This is the chapter of my lifeblood. There is so much love in it.”
