Police appeal for witnesses after death of octogenarian hit by car

The police launched a call for witnesses, after the death of an octogenarian, struck down by a car, Thursday, around 4:40 p.m., in rue du Comté de Nice, in Montpellier (Hérault). The driver, actively sought, is suspected of having hit the pedestrian, while he was driving “at high speed”, before fleeing, indicates the police.

The octogenarian could not be revived by emergency services. Investigators are calling on people who witnessed this fatal accident, or who have information enabling them to determine the circumstances of the tragedy, to contact the Montpellier police station at 04.99.13.51.63 or 04.99.13.51.17 (during the day) .
