Companies are inventive when it comes to presenting themselves positively. Consumer goods manufacturers, in particular, would like to let the world know what progress they think they have made in terms of protecting the environment. You know: More and more consumers are buying sustainable products in a targeted manner. Plastic is no longer an abstract problem. Microplastics have long been detected in the air, drinking water and stool samples, including by the WWF. At the same time, the amount of plastic waste in Germany continues to grow. So what’s the deal with the branding’s claims?
