A parked car caught fire on Thursday in Planegger Bahnhofstrasse. Local police received a report around 12:30 p.m. that smoke was coming from the car’s engine compartment. When the fire department arrived, the car was already on fire. According to the police, the fire was extinguished without anyone being injured. As it turned out, the 55-year-old owner had used the car in the morning and then parked it properly. A technical defect is suspected to be the cause. The damage amounts to around 8000 euros.
