Extrusion processes are clocked more and more closely, a growing variety of variants requires more flexibility and quick changeovers. Supply chains are under a lot of pressure today and resources are often scarce and expensive. Testing and measurement technology manufacturer Pixargus, Würselen, supplies standardized systems here. According to the manufacturer, the test technology is quick to start and can be operated easily and intuitively.

For AllRounDia DualVision, Pixargus has adapted the successful ProfilControl 7 technology to simple, round geometries. The result is a high-performance system for round products that requires practically no adjustment work. Whether the lighting or the camera angle – the system adjusts itself.
In-house, AllRounDia DualVision was tested in sample analyzes for a wide range of products. System adjustments are therefore usually not necessary. In the case of inquiries, a short sample check is carried out. The product files are configured at the factory. This relieves the service technician during on-site commissioning.

The system keeps an eye on the contours and surface of round products, regardless of the color as well as matt and glossy surfaces. Prüftechnik can also handle the surface inspection of translucent and semi-transparent hoses. A specially developed lighting concept ensures a homogeneous illumination and measuring field, so that even difficult-to-detect deviations and material defects such as cracks, inclusions, color spots and high-contrast defects from 0.5 mm in size can be reliably detected.
The test system is Windows-based and can be networked with other system components. The controller can continuously access the quality data in the extrusion process. Errors are detected in real time, defective products can be ejected immediately. Process parameters provided by the software can also be viewed in context over time. Machine settings and recipes can be improved in this way.
When it comes to operation, Pixargus relies on fast and intuitive user guidance via gesture control via the system’s 10-inch screen or mobile via a tablet. The compact all-round system is designed for round products with a diameter of up to 40 mm and is available as a stand-alone solution or with a support frame.
