In Penzberg, middle school students get lessons from fire brigade people. In this project, which is unique in Bavaria, they learn over a period of twelve weeks in theory and practice how to extinguish flames and use rescue shears.
It hisses, it flickers, it blazes: From an apparatus specially constructed for extinguishing exercises, a so-called fire extinguishing trainer, impressive flames shoot into the Penzberg sky. Mayor Stefan Korpan has a lot of trouble getting the fire under control with his fire extinguisher.
