Steffen Hallaschka moderates the annual review
In 2011, Steffen Hallaschka took over “stern TV” from Günther Jauch after almost 21 years. Now he is also presenting the annual review, which Jauch moderated for many years.

Steffen Hallaschka is the new presenter for the RTL annual review. The show will also be running on a Thursday for the first time.
“2023! People, Images, Emotions” will be broadcast live on RTL on December 7, 2023 from 8:15 p.m. The show looks back at events from the year. The new presenter will also receive some prominent guests in the studio to review 2023. “‘People, Pictures, Emotions’ is an absolute TV classic at the end of the year. I am very pleased to be the host of this year in review. He moderated the show from 1996 to 2021. Last year, Thomas Gottschalk (73) and Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg (51) took over – apparently a one-time thing. Steffen Hallaschka is once again following in Günther Jauch’s footsteps: Since January 2011, he has moderated “stern TV” and the “stern TV Spezials” on RTL, which Jauch had moderated for years. At the beginning of the year, Hallaschka extended the contract with the broadcaster by several years.
