The silence of Hollywood star Keanu Reeves (57) has unsettled his colleague Sandra Bullock (57).
“He’s a listener,” said Bullock of the US magazine “Esquire” in an interview published on Monday. “And it drives people crazy.” Both celebrated their international breakthrough with the action film “Speed” (1994). Then they stood together in front of the camera for the love film “Das Haus am See” (2006).
“When I met him, I spent as much time as possible filling the silence, just to be comfortable. And the more I babbled to myself, the calmer he got, ”said Bullock. «And I thought: I don’t understand what’s going on here! He looks at me with confused looks. He is silent. Did I say something that offended him? ” A few days later Reeves would come by with a slip of paper or a package in such cases and then said: “I’ve thought about what you said.” Then he also had an answer ready.
Around a year after the publication of “Speed”, Bullock Reeves casually mentioned at a meeting that she had never tried champagne and truffles. A few days later he suddenly drove past her house on his motorcycle to bring her exactly these delicacies, including flowers. “I just thought you might want to try champagne and truffles to see what it’s like,” Reeves told her. That’s what she mean when she says it drives you crazy, Bullock explained.
