In 1993, country singer Billy Ray Cyrus and his wife Tish married. The two raised five children, daughter Miley became a celebrated world star. Now the parents are getting divorced.
The parents of pop star Miley Cyrus (29), Billy Ray (60) and Tish Cyrus (54), separate.
“After 30 years, five amazing children and a lifetime of memories, we have decided to go our separate ways…” the couple wrote in a joint statement released by People.
The magazine previously reported, citing court papers, that Tish Cyrus filed for divorce in Tennessee last week. According to TMZ.com, this is the third divorce process. Appropriate applications were made in 2010 and 2013, but were later withdrawn.
Country singer Billy Ray Cyrus (“Achy Breaky Heart”) and Tish married in 1993. Together they have three children, Miley (29), Braison (27) and Noah (22). The singer also adopted Trish’s children Brandi, 34, and Trace, 33. He has a 30-year-old son from a previous relationship.
