Telekom and O2 affected
Major internet disruptions at several providers throughout Germany

On Tuesday morning, numerous users reported disruptions in Telekom, O2, 1&1 and Postbank services. The cause was a technical fault in the Telekom network.
In major German cities there are increasing internet disruptions from providers on Tuesday mornings Telekom, O2 and 1&1. Postbank customers also reported increasing numbers of disruptions. After about an hour, the curves for disruption reports flattened out again.
Problems with Telekom
A report of the portal “Netzwelt” According to Telekom, the fault report was “noticeably high” – and mainly in large cities such as Berlin, Hamburg, Munich and Frankfurt am Main. Many customers reported problems with the internet and the reception of MagentaTV.
“Due to a central technical problem, there may currently be problems logging into MagentaTV on all first-generation devices,” says a Telekom statement that the portal has made available. And it continues: “In addition, logging into the “My Magenta” app may also fail, as may topping up prepaid credit. There may also currently be problems registering IP telephony.” The company is working hard to resolve the problem. Telekom writes something similar. on the social media platform X.
There are also problems with O2, 1&1 and Postbank
As the portal also reports, there are currently increasing disruptions at O2, 1&1 and Postbank. O2 reports that the problems are related to those at Telekom. “Due to a disruption at our technical upstream service provider Deutsche Telekom, whose infrastructure we partially use to implement our fixed-line products (fiber optics, VDSL), there may currently be temporary restrictions for some O2 fixed-line customers,” said a spokesman the company the “Westfälischer Anzeiger”.. At Postbank there are problems with online banking itself, with registration or using the app, which apparently occur nationwide. Here too, the reasons are still unclear.
