Pellet heating: For whom heating with pellets is worthwhile – your SZ

There are already 650,000 pellet heating systems in Germany today. But they have little in common with a simple wood stove or fireplace. In most cases, the pellets from a store are automatically fed to a boiler via a conveyor belt. The small compacts made of sawdust and wood shavings have a diameter of around six millimeters and are up to six centimeters long. An advantage: the pellets burn almost without leaving any residue and the residual ash is also disposed of automatically. As with other central heating systems, the boiler supplies heat to the entire building via a heat exchanger.
