Patrick Odier is the head of a Swiss private bank and his name stands for responsible asset management. A conversation about sustainable investment options and the task of bringing governments, NGOs and the private sector around the table.

Patrick Odier, Senior Partner at the Geneva-based private bank Lombard Odier, admits that there are still difficulties in the financial industry when it comes to sustainability. In an interview, Odier explains why he sees concrete dangers for greenwashing with green bonds and how the industry can achieve more transparency in fund products in the future. Odier is involved in various foundations and charitable organizations and is President of the Swiss Sustainable Finance Association. At the end of 2022, the 65-year-old will hand over his position at the helm of Lombard Odier to Hubert Keller. The 225-year-old institute thus loses the only managing partner in the six-member partner committee that still bears the bank’s name.
